Dear Marc Lamont Hill

Dear Dr. Marc Lamont Hill,

Thank you for recognizing the current plight in America. Attending your commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at Trinity University you infused inspiration and motivation to hold America to its promises. Dr. Hill, you reminded so many that Dr. King's iconic speech isn't just about dreams but the insufficient funds america tries to get by with. How we're told that we're equal yet treated lesser than. And I find it baffling to know that today much hasn't changed.

Thank you for challenging us to do better. You mentioned King would have encouraged us to be smart and in conjunction. To be aware of how things are accomplished in society and highlight the fact that our resistance movements are stronger when we're together.

Dr. Marc Lamont Hill, some believe that when a hero falls their spirit is reborn in others. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would be proud of your voice and even call you a hero in your own right.

Sincerely.
